Ribble Steam Railway

The Ribble Steam Railway provides a half-day leisure and tourist experience based around heritage steam train rides travelling in hand painted restored railway coaches and an introductory Museum experience that positively encourages visitors to touch and feel. As the months progress more Exhibits and features will be rolled out into public domain.

We have a number of Steam Locomotives undergoing restoration plus much else. In the adjacent Running Shed we have a number of Exhibits in final stages of conservation. These buildings are working premises akin to heavy engineering facilities.

Open every weekend and Bank Holiday from April - September
Sundays only in October.
Gates open at 10.30am
Trains depart hourly between 11am and 4pm
