About Us

Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board (LBTB) was set up in April 2004. It supports tourism businesses in the Lancashire and Blackpool area by representing their interests regionally and nationally, by co-ordinating marketing activity, managing and developing the tourism product and working in partnership with industry. Activities in commercial membership, business support, `Welcome to Excellence` training, visitors' services and marketing activity are all designed to improve quality and achieve common goals.

The Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board is a Company registered in England and Wales with Company Number 5039554. The Registered Office of the Company is Christ Church Precinct, County Hall, Fishergate Hill, Preston, Lancashire PR1 8XJ. The Company is VAT registered, Registration Number 837 1219 33.

Directions

From M61 (North):

At Junction 8 (A6/A674)
Leave Motorway (signposted Chorley A6) and at roundabout take 3rd exit A674

At Junction with A6
At roundabout take 2nd exit A6 (signposted Chorley town centre)

At next roundabout go straight on, carry on following the dual carriageway heading towards Chorley

At the next roundabout, (B&Q on your left hand side) carry straight on, across roundabouts (passing All Seasons Leisure Centre on your left hand side). Keep going straight on, and you will pass the new Chorley bus/rail interchange on either side of the road.

At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit onto George Street, and then at the next roundabout, take 3rd exit onto Market Street

From Market Street, take the 3rd right onto Halliwell Street

St. Georges House and Car Park is approx 200 yards up the street: turn left to enter car park (look for the wrought iron railings) Please park on the left.

The main entrance to the Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board is through the archway on the left hand side.

From M61 (South)

At Junction 8(A6/A674)
Leave Motorway (signposted Chorley A6) and at roundabout take the 1st exit A674 -Chorley

Then follow directions as above.
